NYC

Note: As we reached the New York leg of our trip, things got a little hectic and so we decided to throw all of our snapshots together into one fabulous post... enjoy!

Eataly: our first adventure in New York City, recommended to us by a few different friends. For food lovers like us, this place was heaven. Divided up by specialty, you can find everything from seafood to pasta to desserts, all fresh and tasty.

We waited a well-worth-it 45 minutes for dinner in the pizza/pasta section and were thoroughly impressed by our meal.

Times Square cheesiness
Legendary Shake Shack
Eva loved her chocolate milkshake

New York University- both one of mine and Eva's top choices for college. We both loved the feel of Greenwich Village as well as the beautiful Washington Square Park

The man in charge of The Strangers Project- a collection of journal entries gathered here in the park. (Check out the website, it's very cool.)

After exploring the Village, we wandered into Molly's Cupcakes and fell in love. We had no idea this place was so well known, but were so glad we found it. "Best cupcakes ever," both Eva and I agree.
Our first cupcakes from Molly's- I chose the Ron Bennington (dark chocolate ganache with butterscotch and filled with peanut butter) and Eva got a chocolate chip cookie dough.
Note- if you eat dinner at Patsy's, don't order a family sized pasta dish unless you're actually dining with a family of at least 12 people so you don't end up like us. Yummy pasta, though!

The view from the steps of the wonderful guest house we stayed at in Harlem- Villa 121

Breakfast two mornings in a row at Caffe Latte

By far the yummiest chai ever, even Eva (who isn't a big chai fan) agreed.

Harlem.

adorable juice bar in Soho, The Butcher's Daughter

Soho.

One of my favorite stops on the Upper East Side- Laudree, home to French macaroons

My favorite store, Lilly Pulitzer

Park Avenue.

The Pond

Alice In Wonderland

Perfect last dinner in the city at Trattoria Spaghetto which happened to be a short walk from...

Molly's! Cupcakes round two, I had the cake batter cupcake and bought a few more to bring back to the house!

Such a lovely end to the trip in a wonderful city.

Newport: Day Two

Our favorite coffee shop in Newport, Empire Tea and Coffee
Perfect breakfast and the yummiest tea latte in history

By far the creepiest sights of the trip... (Pretty Little Liars, anyone?)
We spent some time in this beautiful old cemetery beside historic Trinity Church
The Newport Tower in Touro Park

We toured the gorgeous Salve Regina University

The famed Breakers Mansion, former summer home of the Vanderbilts

Brick Alley Pub was our delicious dinner stop

We absolutely loved the beautiful Hotel Viking where we stayed and highly recommend it!

Before heading to New York, we stopped in La Maison de Coco for some chocolate goodies
